Here are some basic house rules that we kindly ask our guests to respect:

zanzibar villa eco guidelines
  • Respect for Natural Materials: We have constructed our villas using local, natural materials, and we ask guests to appreciate and care for these elements during their stay. Please refrain from damaging or removing any natural materials, ensuring their preservation for future guests and the environment.
  • Responsible Energy Usage: While we primarily power the resort by solar energy, we have backup generators and access to public electricity when necessary. We encourage guests to be mindful of their energy consumption by turning off lights, fans, and other electronic devices when not in use, helping to conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions.
  • Water Conservation: We harvest rainwater for showers and toilets, promoting water conservation practices. We kindly ask guests to be mindful of their water usage by taking shorter showers and using water responsibly during their stay.
  • Pool Etiquette: Our pools are filled with naturally filtered ocean water, reducing the need for chemicals. To maintain the water quality, we ask guests to respect pool rules, such as not using glass containers near the pool and refraining from any activities that may compromise the cleanliness and sustainability of the pool.
  • Waste Management: We have implemented effective waste management practices, including recycling and composting. We kindly request guests to separate their waste and use the designated bins provided. This simple act contributes to reducing landfill waste and supports our commitment to sustainability.
  • Support for the Local Community: We prioritize purchasing goods and services from the surrounding community to support local businesses and artisans. By embracing the local culture and engaging with nearby establishments, guests contribute to the economic growth and well-being of the community.
  • Respect for Local Culture and People: We encourage guests to engage with and respect the local community and its customs. Embracing the local culture enhances the authenticity of the experience and fosters positive relationships between guests and the community.

By adhering to these house rules, guests play a vital role in maintaining the eco concept of Milele Villas and ensuring a sustainable and unforgettable experience. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to providing you with a remarkable stay that is in harmony with nature and the local community.
